Contributors
The Good Return blog has many contributors who are based in Australia and in the Asia Pacific. At any time our people could be in Tonga, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, East Timor, or Nepal. Here’s a bit more about them!
Anthony Back has been volunteering for Good Return as a loan officer since March 2011. He arrived at Good Return after an internship at the Australian Institute of International Affairs. Anthony deals with online editing, internal report writing, and microfinance partner communications. He recently became the first Good Return Field Ambassador where he was sent to Nepal for one month to work closely with our MFI partner Nirdhan Bank and Good Return clients. His field work focused on sustainable energy, client monitoring, blog writing, and analysis of our overall operations in Nepal. Celine Bachelet is originally from France, and has spent more than 10 years living and working in Asia, most recently working as a consultant specialised in sustainability within the supply chain, in which she supported factories to achieve compliance with social and environmental standards through the implementation of policies and pragmatic actions. She has several degrees, including a Diploma in Development and another in International Trade and Logistics. Celine is Good Return’s Sustainable Energy Program Manager. Read posts by Celine
James Le Compte is the Microfinance Program Manager at Good Return. Having co-founded a successful web development agency before his university studies James enjoys the challenge and dynamics of small business. He holds degrees in Business and International Studies, during which time he completed an internship with the United Nations Information Centre and Australia for UNCR. He has been with World Education Australia since it 2007 and was responsible the design and development of the Good Return social enterprise business model, operating procedures, and microfinance partner engagement. Monique Alfris is Good Return’s Sustainable Energy Field Coordinator, which means she gets to spend all her time working overseas with our microfinance partners, helping them develop their sustainable energy loans. An engineer by trade and training, Monique has spent time working on sustainable buildings in Sydney and with Green Building Councils in Africa. Joni Morris is the Online Marketing Coordinator for Good Return and is permanently based out of our Sydney office. She coordinates the blog, website, and social media content. She is originally from Canada and has a background in communications (her degree), branding, writing, website design, and community development.
